Toilets.

modularità e configurabilità

OMER specializes in the design and manufacture of sanitary modules for trains and in the integration of the necessary technology for the management of wastewater, as well as any internal accessories that ensure the travellers’ usability.

These products have higher technological content than interior decoration modules, as they have to assemble in a small space a set of technological and furniture components that can ensure reliability in a highly-frequented, humid and corrosive environment.

Such complex systems can only be implemented in cooperaion with the suppliers of technological components (i.e. vacuum systems): any operational failure or fault of these components might lead to a limitation to the traffic of a train, as access to toilets must be ensured for the whole length of the trip.

Toilet access doors are among the most critical elements when the train is in operation, because if they are not designed and built with the necessary skill to make them withstand movement, they can get blocked and cause significant disruptions. OMER specializes in manufacturing these types of manually and electrically operated doors, with reliability levels that are recognized by the entire market.

This product finds its main application on regional transport and high-speed trains, where travellers spend longer or more frequent periods of time on board the train.

Modular Aluminium Toilet System

A new concept of Toilet modules for the railway sector.

The MATS modules are designed in accordance with current legislation and incorporate the construction criteria of EN 16585: 2017 and all related regulations, so as to ensure the essential technical-functional requirements about to be set in the coming Technical Specifications for Interoperability, TSI.

THE BENEFITS OF ALUMINUM

Aluminum has a substantial invariance to aging and its aesthetic-functional characteristics are kept throughout its life cycle. The choice of aluminum is consistent with the limitation of fire risk factors, based on the criteria of the EN 12212 standard.

Aluminum for us is a precise ecological choice: these elements, at the end of their life, will be totally recycled, with 95% energy saving compared to production from scratch starting from bauxite.

SERVICE PROVEN DOOR SYSTEM

A door system that allows multiple degrees of choice and that, adapting to the movements of the train case, ensures that the door opens and closes perfectly during service.

Smaller dimensions and minimum maintenance requirements.

OMER Door Systems are service proven, with over 200 million km of operation.

LIGHTNESS AND MODULARITY

With the same configuration, this technology does not require wall board linings, to integrate with the furniture of the compartment.

The sandwich panels are finished on both sides and can be painted in different colors.

The module’s configuration is more compact and lighter.

DECENTRALIZED ELECTRONICS

Modular control system that can be configured according to specific applications.

Management of the different parts of the system by means of dedicated and interconnected control units.

Reduction of installation times thanks to reduced wiring. Diagnostics carried out according to the most advanced Condition Based Maintenance requirements. Wireless communication capabilities for more effective maintenance.

MATS complies with
TSI PRM: 2014 regulations
and the definition of minimum volumes
necessary to allow the movement of
reduced mobility users

INCLUSIVE DESIGN

The MATS modules, as required by the TSI PRM: 2014 regulation, are designed and manufactured in line with the definition of the minimum spaces necessary for the movement of users with reduced mobility (PRM) and the verification of the usability of all the integrated devices.

PERFECT MATCHES

The precision of system subgroups’ coupling is guaranteed by the use of extruded components in the frame of the cladding panels, processed through numerical control machines. The system has adjustment mechanisms that allow the fitters to make the correct alignments.

Bolted joints stiffen the couplings between the cladding elements and the toilet/casing modules.
